Wear your baby with style with a Pippalily Baby Sling!

The closeness from a baby sling promotes bonding and babies are happier and cry less because they feel safe and secure.

Baby slings evenly distribute the weight of your baby across your back and shoulders, while freeing up your hands.

Sizing: Your Pippalily sling size will typically be the size of your fitted t-shirt. If you find yourself between sizes, in our experience you should choose the larger one.

Pippalily FAQ

 1. How do I choose the right size sling?
Your Pippalily sling size will typically be the size of your fitted t-shirt. If you find yourself between sizes, in our experience you should choose the larger size. The bottom of the sling should rest on or just above your hip bone. A low - hanging baby puts unnecessary pressure on your back and is uncomfortable.

2. Is my baby safe in the sling?
Pouch baby slings have been used for centuries. The natural curve in the sling creates a deep, form fitting and safe environment for the baby.

3. My baby just doesn't seem to like the sling, what can I do?
• Keep moving! Babies love being in motion in the sling.
• You can also wait and revisit the sling in a few weeks or try a new position.
• Be confident. Some babies fall asleep with an experienced wearer, but seem to sense the lack of confidence their parents might have the first time around.
• We strongly encourage you to keep trying because you will not be disappointed with the freedom a sling offers!

4. How can I nurse with the sling?
Nursing in the sling is discreet and very convenient. Simply pull the inside fabric below your breast and latch the baby.

5. What's the difference between a Baby Bjorn type carrier and a sling?
In our experience, they are both very useful, but serve two different purposes.
Advantages of the sling include:
• easy to use with no straps, hooks, buttons, etc.
• baby is in a natural position, cuddled in the sling
• slings tend to be more affordable
• longer product usability with the sling, as it is used into toddlerhood

6. I have a pressure point on my shoulder -- why ?
Pressure points are caused by bunched fabric, or often by the baby's leg dangling outside the sling. Make sure the fabric is flat across your shoulder and back, and try putting baby's front leg, or both in the sling.

7. I use a different method to place my baby in the sling, is that okay?
We have found that everyone seems to find a method that works best for baby and wearer. We are comfortable with the different approaches, as long as the baby is securely in the sling.

8. How do I care for my sling?
Spot and hand wash the sling in cold water and hang to dry. As long as they aren’t washed with Velcro or zippers (things that will snare them) they can be washed in the machine and hung to dry. Even if they do snag, you just have to cut the thread at the source.

9. Can I use my sling for a newborn?
Definitely! Most newborns adore being in a cozy and enclosed place, close to their mother's core. Their bodies fit perfectly into the natural curve of the sling.

10. Can I wear my toddler in my sling?
Absolutely. The Hip Carrier is a great tool for your toddler, until they reach 30 lb. The wide strap, and their closeness to your core, allows their weight to be carried by your upper body, instead of your arms or shoulders.

SAFETY NOTES:
* The user of the Pippalily sling is solely responsible for the proper and appropriate use of the sling, including the safety of the baby while it is in the sling.

* Babies should weigh no more than 30lb.

* Remember that your baby is not buckled in, so please be aware of what they are doing at all times.

* When bending over, keep one hand on the baby at all times.

* Please take care to ensure that the baby's breathing is not compromised in any of the positions; be sure to adjust the baby and the sling accordingly.

* Be sure to inspect the seams of the Pippalily sling regularly to ensure the continued suitability and safety of the sling.
